R. installed the WeMo light switch I bought. After futilely looking for a Skill in the Alexa app for Wemo, I went, hmm. And I searched on the web where I found this.

That was really, really easy.
ETA: I just downloaded the WeMo app. I did not set up an account. I did not enter login credentials. It immediately displays the lights that have a wemo switch. I can now turn on and off my kitchen lights from my phone. And unlike the Nest, I don't have to fucking log in to do so.
I _really_ like this. Altho there may be people I know that I will never give our wifi password to, because they might have a Little Too Much Fun with this.
