I had a walk and a visit with M. We did it early, to beat the snow.
I had a delightfully long chat with J.
I was supposed to get my hair done — first time in a while, because I canceled the December appointment. It was no fun thinking about going when everyone was coming down with covid because of holiday travel. I’m currently actually excited to go, so that’s nice. I called to see if it was still on (it is snowing), and it was, and then 20 minutes later (I pre-emptively said, if it is easier for C. to reschedule that is fine with me) it was not on, and I now have an appointment for Thursday.
Had I gone out, I might have stopped at the bank to deposit a check (one of the many refunds I received recently, but the only one to generate a paper check) and maybe mail a card. But those can all wait until tomorrow.
I’ve been enjoying poking around at Duolingo stuff. I watched the Efficacy video from their online Duocon, and read some of their blog posts about efficacy. It’s been a lot of fun watching this odd project wind up evolving into a really professionally run service / product and get to both watch the evolution AND enjoy the benefits.
