My cousin still has not been able to start his new job, so he got to come hang out with us instead. We had breakfast at the hotel. I had the egg on toast. The sourdough toast was very tasty, but I suspect had some milk products in it. I will try the vegan option tomorrow. A. ordered but did not care for bacon and a belgian waffle. R. finished her breakfast.

My cousin drove us in his car to the museum quarter. We went to the Hull and East Riding Museum, which the kids found a little boring, but it was sort of cool to see a Ferriby boat. Then we dragged them over to Streetlife, a transportation museum. We never made it upstairs (R. did, which is good because it was basically all bicycles up there, including a velocipede!), but the downstairs was great.

We had lunch at the McDonalds in Hull. They did not take any of my cards and I would have gone to cash, but my cousin rescued us. I am posting this after my return; I had not figured out at this point that Apple Pay would work in this situation so I did not try it. I am not sure I have ever seen that busy a McDonalds. They put cheese on my burger, but corrected it.

Then it was back to Willerby Manor to hang out in Figs Brasserie, drink tea and do some genealogy with my cousin. We all took an hour or so break then and relaxed, and met up again at NuBar for dinner.

NuBar is fantastic. Friendly service, great food, and actual whisky cocktails. Okay, cocktail. They make a good old-fashioned. Two countries full of people who only drink things straight, or rum, gin or vodka cocktails. Very frustrating for me! No trouble with the card there; worked for the main order and then again later for dessert. With the exchange rate, prices feel incredibly reasonable. I am sure it feels more expensive for the locals.
