Safe at Home, In Case You Were Wondering

walkitoutWe are safe at home. Perhaps you have been hearing all kinds of crazy stuff about the city whose metro area I live within. We were at WDW from the 14th to the 19th (today). One of the conundrums presented by traveling up and down the East Coast with kiddies is when to arrive at Logan on a weekday in order to best avoid traffic. We spent a good chunk of the morning wondering if we'd even be allowed on our plane (no problems) or if we would be allowed to land (no problems) or whether our ride would be there (no problems).
Traffic headed home was unlike any I had ever seen in the Boston area. It was eerily quiet on the roads.
Of course all of our thoughts are with the people who are recovering, mourning the lost, and also with all of those who felt a close brush with something awful and continue to feel jittery today.
We had a great time on our trip, and I'm happy once again that due to a combination of age and disability, neither of our kids has any awareness of what happened.
