A breeze ripples through the Family Tree

I get messages on ancestry.com occasionally. Sometimes, it's someone curious about someone back in the 1700s -- those don't tend to turn into conversations. More often, it's someone much more closely related. Today's was a message from someone who was wondering if I was connected to her daughter-in-law -- and indeed I am. My calculations indicate 3rd cousin, and a slight but real possibility that we crossed paths a little over 20 years ago at a reunion.

What's really funny is that the woman who got in touch with me shares my last name (a very common last name).
