Not Just One Senate Republican -- or even Two

In all the discussion of Reid's decision to call for a vote on the Ryan Medicare plan in the Senate, I haven't seen anyone point out it wasn't just 1 or 2 Republicans voting with a Democratic majority. This time, it was _five_. The usual two women from Maine, sure, but also Scott Brown, Rand Paul and Lisa Murkowski.

That's kind of amazing, compared to what we used to see when Democrats nominally had 60 votes.

We may be getting back to the natural state of affairs in the Senate: herding cats.
