company and croup

walkitoutTeddy got croup and is now recovering. That barking cough and whistling inhalation is oh so recognizable. Poor little guy. Also feel sorry for me, because I didn't get much sleep. R. was a trooper, and took him for a couple hours one night to let me get a nap, and got me extra sleep in the morning, too.
K. has arrived for a week's stay, just in time for the height of leaf season. Very pretty out. We left the house today, because Teddy slept last night, since his head had cleared enough to let him breathe. We went to the park where a little girl whose mother kept telling her how to play with Teddy finally got disgusted with the whole business and threw sand in his face, including his eyes. That took a while to extract and worried me a lot. I feel bad for the little girl, and I'm kinda pissed at the mother. If she'd been even a little more relaxed and pushed the girl less, I don't think it would have happened. Maybe they'll get croup, too. Teddy's revenge. Heh. Okay, that's kinda mean. However, I warned her Teddy had had croup and was just recovering _before_ the kids started playing together, so my conscience is clear.
We had lamb for dinner. With roasted potatoes, green beans, peas and a green salad. You know what that means: we had meat, potatoes and two veg. When I saw it sitting on the plate, I started chuckling.
