Not loving the new HI-50

It's hard enough trying to get over the absence of Jack Lord who, honestly, was the reason I watched the show. But beyond that, at least the pilot has a whole lot of what I don't love about a lot of cop shows in recent years: in an effort to make the cops appear "tough" they threaten suspects with all kinds of creepy, illegal, unethical and possibly war crimes type stuff. And it's not clear it's any better than the old police brutality of other cop shows, which, in any event, isn't entirely absent in the newer shows, either.
