I don't own Netflix (altho I occasionally wonder if I should), but I do use Netflix, and a whole lot more since I figured out streaming a few months ago. The biggest bummer has been that so much of what I'd like to get via streaming I can't.

This will help. And I am OK with this model: theatrical, a year later pay services like HBO, then three months after that, it can go to streaming. I can live with that. The way it has been (years if ever before it is available streaming) means I just never see a lot of stuff that I probably would have enjoyed, because I've completely forgotten it existed.

I got one of the Roku boxes when they first came out, and it's the best hundred bucks I've ever spent. But one of the nice additions lately, on top of the NetFlix streaming, is the Amazon video on demand stuff they added. I can usually get PPV movies for cheaper than doing PPV through our Comcast cable. And I think the UI in general on the Roku and its remote is better than the one on the settop box that Comcast gave us, which is annoyingly frustrating, and will do random stuff like skip to the very end of a movie and lose your place in it when you think about looking at the remote, or when it's the third Tuesday of a month with more than two vowels, or whatever else it feels like doing.
