Two Eds yuk it up on MSNBC

walkitoutEd asks Ed: Hey, Ed. You used to be chairman of the DNC. What do you think of Fox news hosts and other personnel being involved in fundraising for the Republican party? Why doesn't the DNC go after them for that?
Ed answers Ed: Aw, shucks. It's not against the law. It's not against any code of ethics that journalists have. I'm not sure you guys have a code of ethics, har de har har.
Hold it right there, Guv'nor. The journalists _have_ a code of ethics. I may be guilty, once again, of throwing data at a perfectly good punchline, but here it is:

I think this part might be relevant:
"shun secondary employment, political involvement, public office and service in community organizations if they compromise journalistic integrity."
And other Ed? Here's something you might think about:
"Test the accuracy of information from all sources"
The world could use some more fact checking.
Why is it that the more I see of Rendell, the less I like him? Maybe I'm just in a crappy mood. I could believe that.
The code of ethics is excellent in every way, and I strongly suspect that TRMS is treating it as some sort of base religious document. Especially the Be Accountable portion.
