walkitoutI knew about "eve teasing" because I'd seen footage of it. It is very shocking, perhaps in part because it is so at odds with the general reputation of Indian men in the US.

Attempting to solve the problem by creating women only commuter trains for several major cities seems like a reasonable interim solution. Hopefully, over time, consciousness raising, boys growing up with mothers who work and movies which favorably depict women who work will help mitigate the problem.
