This is so stupid.

She pumped and dumped over one glass of wine and she believes if you're too drunk to drive, you're too drunk to nurse.

Idiot.

Now, to be fair, she stopped drinking when she started trying to conceive. This is _really_ important to do and a lot of people don't. The one time gestationally when one binge can cause lasting harm to a baby is during that before-you-know-you-are phase.

What to make of this, tho:

Is that it? I’m 33. It baffles me to think that I won’t be good and drunk again until I’m 50."

I gotta say, I'm all about the boobage, but nursing for _17 years_? No thank you.

Well, when she's "too drunk to drive" she is too drunk to carry a baby, so nursing would be right out. She drove home after 2.5 glasses of wine and left the car engine running overnight. She halfway implies that it can't have been drunk driving since it was only 2.5 glasses. And lordy, she doesn't even apologize for the other folks she put at risk, but congratulates herself on making it home safely.

Five buckes says she rattles on the way she does because she wants to pretend her new-found alcohol management technique is that of all healthy, competent parents and not the desperate attempt it is to keep from sinking into alcoholism.

Oh, and the seventeen years without getting roaring drunk is so precious widdle kiddie won't see it.

You're right. And definitely too drunk to side-lie and nurse lying down, because if she's too drunk to remember having sex, there's a real risk she could overlay her baby.

Wow. Had not thought about it that way.

The car engine running creeped me out. An entire family died of CO poisoning about a month ago because someone left a car running in the garage.

Your E-Readers are right, this lady has a serious problem. Given all she says about her behavior drunk, why is she so sad she can't get good and drunk until the kids are grown? Why would she want to get good and drunk?
