I had a scheduled phone call with my sister at 10 am to finally try to resolve why her kindle attached to my account can receive content I send her but can’t initiate a download. All parental controls are turned off. It’s a mystery, which we fixed with a hard reset. Fortunately, B. was there to supply the home network password, and I was there to do the password dance on Amazon, and it now works. It only took 10 months for us to finally schedule an in-family IT support call to correct this. But it’s better! And a completed task is a task I don’t have to track any more.

I’ve got all kinds of odd things on the schedule for today, notably, visitors coming over to do lego. Fingers crossed!

Next up, tho, is Duo and a walk with M.

ETA: Walking is so much less terrifying in the 40s than in the 20s. No cleats needed. Next up: the ongoing de-holiday-ification of the house, setting up for a lego party (very small) and a phone call.

ETAYA: Lego playdate and adult conversation lasted from 2-6 pm. I wasn’t sure about whether we were feeding people lunch or dinner or both. It wound up being lunch, and T. made scrambled eggs. There were croissants from Costco, and I cut up some fruit. Easy and tasty. They brought a pie, which was delicious.

I got through some laundry. R. did a run to Trader Joe’s because we are out of peanut butter. He’s got a show later this evening. I’m debating the relative merits of food first or drink first. So far, drink is winning, altho I have taken no specific action.

ETA still more: food and beverage have happened. The soup was good. The toast was good. The manhattan was good. I’m thinking Duolingo, and climb into bed with the new JAK novel and call it a day. I hope everyone out there is having a delightful weekend!
