It’s a little gross out there. M. came over for a visit but we did not walk. Fortunately, R. had cleared the driveway and left the garage door open.

R. also bought groceries, so I think we’re set for lunches.

T. was going to come over, but changed his mind after I encouraged him to drive safely. Display of good judgment! We like to see that in the young folks.

I read a Michelle Diener Verdant String book, “Defender”, which was fun. I’m trying to decide if I’ll reread the series for the final entry. I remember it relatively well, but there are starting to be a lot of references to people hearing news about events that are described in detail in earlier books and making sense of all that may become really important and somewhat challenging in the wrap up. Plus, fun!

There was one pickup of two small, kids’/cute nail brushes today. I have very little currently listed on FBM; it’s been really great how much has gone out the door. I’m thinking more about how to handle various challenges associated with the year we’ll be split between two houses, and today’s thought was flatware (we’ve already mostly worked through the question of dishes). I’ve had Oneida Era (not New Era, and not Golden Era) since my first wedding, and despite the association with that time in my life, I have yet to meet a flatware design I like as much, much less better. A. would prefer something more floral, but isn’t committed to it. R. and I talked it out years ago when we merged housewares. I was poking around to find out whether it would be possible to buy a few more so we could have enough for both places during the transition, and the answer is obviously yes, but more importantly, I ran across a set of 12 pastry forks in that pattern in eBay. Cheap, NIB. Quick shipping. I then stopped looking, because it’s important to take this stuff slow.
