walkitoutI got up to be able to hand over the silver tray, and the woman delayed a bit because she had to take her cat to the vet. Cat is fine — just a sprain, and she did pick up the tray. Yay!
I also had a two part meeting, first part was about various control systems and the second part was about what’s going to the metal artist and what needs to be done to get a certificate of occupancy and what can be completed post-occupancy. It’s looking like we might have the fire control stuff (including elevator recall and monitoring various hidden pools of water) go thru the BMS, but we’ll know more later. That would be awesome.
A keyboard and mouse were due to go out soon, but that person had a schedule change, so we’ll see. I’m going to try to list R.’s darkroom stuff this evening. I may also make some brownies.
I paid for early registration for RavenCon and collected everyone’s preferred badge names for that.
I’m reading _Diviner’s Bow_, the latest Liaden and it is delightful.
I did a test pack yesterday of the Fjallraven 17” laptop bag, and it is really a very nice bag and super light weight. Loaded, it is very easy to wear. I don’t necessarily want to sacrifice the space of bringing the jettle, and the hotel rooms where we are going have the worst coffee makers. R. will probably bring an electric kettle, but I bought a second jettle-like object that is somewhat smaller. We’ll see if it’s small enough to be worth the space. I don’t think I’m sad about having an extra. I use the jettle almost every single day.
A. requested replacement sneakers, but I think the color she prefers has been discontinued. It’s certainly difficult to get in her size. I wound up ordering it a half size shorter, because I think that will still be fine and arrive in a couple days. I also ordered the correct size, but very uncertain about whether that will ever be fulfilled.
