Wednesday is looking promising
Feb. 19th, 2025 10:29 amIt’s for sure not worse, which is great, and it looks more contained, which I am cautiously optimistic about.
I took a shower and put my sheets in the laundry. R. is going to stop at the Costco and get more ibuprofen, because we finally ran through his ancient stash. I also ordered some from Amazon. In theory, another bin is headed out the door today. I found some stuff in my office I could list, altho I’m going to wait a bit longer until I feel better and the weather improves.
There are a bunch of Hunter Douglas samples here that R. brought back from his trip out to Florence. I should be going through those, but I am going to just sit in a chair for a while.
For a while now, I’ve had a folding wooden chair (unfolded) and a folding plastic and metal chair (folded) in the master bathroom. The wooden chair was from when I was in there when one or more of the then small children were in the big tub to make sure they didn’t get into any real trouble. It is also used as a makeshift table for kindle and so forth if I’m soaking in the big tub. The other one is there to go into the shower when reaching up to do my No Longer Small A.’s hair feels too hard. I get the chair, sit her down and all is well. But it’s annoying to have to move the two chairs around to run the robot vac in the bathroom.
Every good decluttering involves recluttering, so I ordered a teak shower stool (because a chair back just gets in the way of washing hair anyway) like the kind I intend for my nieces’ bathroom in future home. My plan is to have it replace both of the existing chairs. The wooden one can join its siblings at the table in the kitchen and the plastic one can join its siblings in the basement. I placed the order 11 days ago apparently, and it had been shoved out of my brain along with a lot of other stuff in the interim. It is arriving today and I am super excited to see if it’s nice.
