R. took the trash and recycling, notably a lot of cardboard, to the transfers station. Also some bags of clothes and similar items. Things look a lot better as a result.

I made pie using the butternut squash. It is Yum.

It got above 40, and is raining. It won’t last; tomorrow is supposed to be quite horrible.

I got the master bathroom vacuumed, using the Eufy. It’s been a while since I did that.

T. came by. He was going to pick up his office chair, because he has a bigger single now in the dorms and has space for more than one chair. However, the chair has a broken gasket in the mechanism that adjusts the height. T. went to Gardner’s Staples and bought a new one; R. ordered a part for the old one. T. threw away a rug he spilled mouthwash on (the rug was very old) and picked up rugs for his new room (the rugs are also old). I had a discussion with R. on the topic of making T. feel bad for having thrown the rug away. Was it T.’s rug or not? And if it wasn’t T.’s rug, then is there anything else that T. has in his dorm room that should be returned and replaced with things that genuinely belong to T, including the right to dispose of as he sees fit? It was, thankfully, a short conversation, because it built on a lot of more painful and longer conversations. I hate that I keep having to do this. T. called me later to make sure he wasn’t in trouble. I am glad that our relationship is now good enough that he feels like he can call and ask for reassurance.

I had toast and tomato vegetable stew for lunch. I had a big salad for dinner and a slice of the pie. Very, very yummy food.
