Wednesday makes that two swollen tonsils

walkitoutA. stayed home today. I was not surprised. I went back to bed, too, because if there’s a chance I can avoid catching this / recover quickly, it’s by getting extra sleep.
I’ve got a short meeting later today with the engineers, because we’re gonna need yet another contract amendment, which is fine. I’m getting better at spotting this coming and explicitly asking for it rather than waiting until some crisis brews and I go, what on earth is the problem just ask for more money if you need it come on.
The stair looks amazing, but the horizontal welds were not done as the structural engineer asked so she’s going to go bad and do her thing and tell us whether it’s strong enough.
Some bummer news on the bar / gate / etc. dream of having the metal workers who do art type stuff has fallen through. There may be alternatives, but I’m rewinding to the smaller scale project and am going to go forward from there. I was skeptical anyway, altho it would have been cool if we could have done that.
