walkitoutNot Son and I went to Worcester Art Museum today and spent a couple hours. They had some impressionist paintings hung in a narrow room so it was impossible to get positioned correctly to see most of the effects correctly, but some in the corner you could look through the glass door and get close to the right angle and that was cool.
We had lunch at Tavern on the Square in Littleton.
We set him up with a pre-application for a learner’s permit, an appointment at a bikeable DMV, printed out the driver’s manual, and used a webform to send a query to a driving instruction place within biking distance of his current residence.
R. took him for a bike ride, lost him, and he self-rescued by backtracking, missing the house, but spotting the police station. He’d left his phone at the house, and tried calling it, but I didn’t answer. The police apparently worked out what my number was and called me. Yay! I took the van and retrieved him and the bike. R. returned separately. It was all very disruptive of my zoom with I., but she was good-natured about it.
We’re gonna hook him up with the driving simulator on the XBox and see how that goes, and also probably take him to K-1 Speed either later tonight and/or T. will take him on Tuesday. Should be fun.
