Wednesday: walk, phone call, taxes

I had a long phone call with J.
I finally got the K-1s into TurboTax and R. finished up the state taxes and everything is now filed. Perhaps they will come back and have some Issues, but for now, we are done.
I did the Lego Palace of Agrabah 40613. It’s very cute. I also did some Brick Headz: Buzz Lightyear, Woody and Bo Peep. I’ve been listening to the podcast The Maintenance Phase, which is really good.
For reasons that are at the moment slightly obscure to me, I decided about a week ago? Give or take? That I wanted to have a UW Net ID, and that joining the Alumni Association would probably accomplish this goal. It didn’t seem completely unreasonable to join the Alumni Association just on general principles. Anyway. The box arrived, so I have this mildly screwy flag (I hung it in my office, but in a very low-key, background sort of way) and a card. I tried to use the alumni association number to get my UW Net ID, however, this was unsuccessful, due to my last name not being what it was when I attended the UW. But they had a phone number! So I called, and a phone call, zoom call and show my government ID later, I have a UW Net ID (and confirmation that I do indeed continue to correctly remember my student ID). Turning this into EBSCO access shouldn’t be _too_ difficult, but whether this will satisfy whatever itch I originally had is unclear; I think I wanted to see what kind of access to Information About Other Alumni participation in the organization would get me. Oh, and I also have another email address (that forwards, but still).
A. and I watched some of the Duocon stuff. We are both pretty excited about the upcoming Music stuff.
