walkitoutWe met BT Jr, his wife M. (first time meeting her! She is delightful! I am so happy!) at The Yard. It is walkable from the townhome they bought recently and just moved into. They seem very pleased. We had a long and enjoyable conversation. I basically repeated my order — veggie fajita plate, peach daily with whisky.
After lunch, the S. family rode the 40 over from Ballard to avoid having to deal with 4th of July traffic with a view of South Lake Union as people arrive insanely early in hopes of seeing the fireworks. We hung out in the lobby courtyard and ate raspberries, chocolate, the rest of the Mighty O’s and assorted other snacks. Eventually, the hotel put out hot dogs and fixings, so we had dinner. The S. family was returning to eat some salmon at home. Super awesome to get to hang out with them. We had seen them at Din Tai Fung, but that was a crowd and it was nice to get to chat just with them.
We went up to the rooftop deck for the fireworks. They were good. We see a lot of Disney fireworks so we don’t bother to see any other fireworks, but since these were _right here_, we went up to watch them. How weird is that. Fun, tho!
