A Bit More of Today’s Shenanigans

The usual: english muffin out of the sourdough crock
Also! Bolted a bunch of turkey red, used the Bosch Universal Mixer to mix it with water and some sourdough starter and started rising another loaf of sourdough

Bread pudding
The usual breakfast / lunch / dinner for A.: homemade waffle (from the freezer), bacon, banana, apple juice, vitamins for breakfast, grilled cheese (homemade sourdough loaf) and berries for lunch with popcorn, chicken, berries and a granola bar for dinner (she’ll probably have some of the bread pudding at some point)
Lunch for me: duck leg and kohlrabi salad — think chicken salad, but, you know. Homemade mayo, but mustard from Walden with toasted homemade sourdough loaf. I was going to have the Bubbie’s pickle, but then realized I still had some kimchi (-style) and went with that instead.
Currently, there is a chicken with root vegetables (celeriac, parsnip, turnip) in the oven, along with dressing / stuffing (bread, raisins, walnuts, egg, sumac, cumin, New Mexico pepper, a very large bell pepper, black pepper, probably something else I’ve forgotten).
It may be a snow day. It may still be snowing out. But that is some bonkers spring energy. It’ll eventually calm back down again. The trick in the meantime is to direct into something I won’t later regret.
