Friday: packing up, driving, dinner, walk on beach

While the kids were at school, we collected the luggage and assorted other items and packed up the van and the car. I got all the bags; R. has the bikes. I retrieved A., got her settled in, and we headed out. R. and T. were a few minutes behind us. We had dinner at the Lanyard, and let me just say, the bartender there makes very powerful drinks.

Food was good.

Hotel is simple but extremely nice simple. R. and I took a walk out and along the beach, and came back along a public way that was fenced on both sides, so the return could be along a paved surface. I had my sandals off on the beach, and wound up using the flashlight for the crunchier bits. I don’t fancy stepping on deceased crab shells.
