Monday: back to school
Sep. 30th, 2024 02:59 pmI walked with M.
I stripped a couple beds, washed the sheets and made them again.
I got A. out the door with her outfit for dance, her lunch, etc. I’ll be picking her up soon. She has not called early for a rescue, so, yay!
I’m reading the 5th book in the Jenny Schwartz Xeno-Archaeologist series. It’s been a ton of fun!
Piano was supposed to be tuned today but the tuner has pneumonia, so he canceled.
Someone came out to measure the room we are having finished for carpet so they can produce an estimate.
ETA
I picked up A. She was tired so we went home. She hadn’t eaten her sandwich, so I converted it to a grilled cheese and then later she had some chicken and I made a second chocolate cake. I went to Roche Bros to pick up some food for her lunches. I finally finished making some travel arrangements for some cousins to join us on a trip so I’m super excited about that, and I’m trying to arrange a walk with a friend who I haven’t seen in person for close to (more than?) a year.
Something happened to one of R.’s nieces BIL and I’m not sure what it was, but I’m trying to figure out how to help out. Moments like this remind me of the importance of not letting too much time go between being in touch with people.
I had a nice phone chat with Not Son.
On the way home with A., we talked about driver’s education and what she might be willing to try.
