R. (High school bestie) picked me up and we went to Green Lake and walked around it. Delightful! She’s retiring this year. She had an awful vice principal this past year (already gone, and she had been warned) and she is completely done. They will have a great time RVing and similar. Kinda envious!
I had rented the private dining room at Din Tai Fung U Village, which seats 16. The guest list had bounced around a lot, and in the end, we had one person who would have liked to go but we could not fit in, but she’d said no earlier so I don’t feel too bad about it. Great group, great food. The truffle and pork XLB are phenomenal, as are the pork chops. Everything else we had was good, too — those really stood out.
We poked our heads into the Razer shop, and they have nice stuff we should probably get for A. but we’ll do that online. We wanted to get some groceries at QFC, but time was short and A. (friend from California who is conveniently in town while we are) got to the hotel early. We had a couple hour chat with her, and that was really nice. She told me about social rhythm therapy and I really need to look into that.
