Monday: dentist, tires

I dropped off the car with the winter tires to have them put on. I’d gotten a ton of email / physical mail / etc. notifications (not from the car itself, mind you) that the car was due for service. I didn’t think it was but what do I know? It didn’t need service. That’s fine; I need the tires put on. It’s almost T-weekend and it might snow.
It rained in the morning, so the remaining work on the door (it’s lockable, functions and has all the weather necessary stuff done), trim and so forth, is waiting.
I was supposed to get the turkey share from Walden today, but it has been delayed a day. When I placed the order, I was expecting the Sunbasket last Sunday, but it will also arrive tomorrow. As it is, we thawed out some chicken and I did mirepoix (obviously not with allium! I bought fennel at Trader Joe’s on Sunday, along with some other things) and cooked the chicken in the pot with that and some stock. I also made a new batch of red sauce and cooked some of the gnocchi from Walden. I have no particular complaints. We finished the open bottle of Chardonnay from the 12 Days of Wine box, so tomorrow we will open another bottle.
Also tomorrow: PG HOA meeting on zoom, just like last year, so I don’t have to fill out a proxy but I do have to attend; it collides with a phone call with K., so we rescheduled that to today, which was super fun!
