Saturday: martial arts, Vic’s
Nov. 20th, 2021 11:00 pmNext week, no martial arts, so no Vic’s. It continues to be relatively crowded, altho not as crowded as that one week.
R. went to see Charlie Bliss and Letters to Cleo; it was pretty quiet around the house in the evening as a result.
I walked with M.
I talked to T. about a holiday tree, and he was very firm that he wanted a big tree this year. So we determined that the hardware store down the road did not have any fake trees available for sale, then we placed an order at the Hudson Lowe’s for pickup today of a good looking tree. R. and I went to pick it up, because it’s one of those Show ID situations, and I didn’t want to have to go over later to show ID because they wouldn’t let him pick it up. Probably would have been fine, but, whatever. The tree is awesome. I got the skirt under it and we put ornaments on it. It’s got built in lights. The kids love it and want to use it every year from now on. R. was worried we’d only use it the one time and it would be a waste of resources. Ha. Yeah, so plausible in this house. Other than the tree that is a permanent part of A.’s decorating scheme in her room, this is the only other tree up right now, but once we’re past T-day, I plan on putting up the small fake tree we bought one year when we were going to be traveling for the holidays (and that R. worried we would only use once and it would be a waste of resources), the purple tree that goes in my office, and put the T-day decorations away so I can fully deploy Winter Holiday decorations. It’s early, but I no longer care, and I’ve been seeing people online who’ve had their tree up since Halloween. By comparison, I have been restrained.
I spent a good chunk of time poking around doing online checkin type activities for future travel plans. It is soooo weird how far in advance these things can be done. As a result of doing this, I looked at flights, freaked out, called JetBlue and requested a call back. Everything looks fine on their end; there is apparently some kind of problem with the website. *sigh*
The Pick A Brick has arrived! I need to go through it, and then place orders for the rest of the pieces of the Victorian Vanity MOC I am planning on building.
I assembled the Polar Bear Head with Scarf and Wrapped Package lego ornaments; that was fun.
