I had to look up “Chronotope”, altho is was basically used in an entirely appropriate way, so I can’t really complain about that.

“Actant”, I can absolutely complain about, and I am also ready to throw down over “fittingness”.

But this one is really hilarious, because it involves simple language used incorrectly in a funny way.

Kamble is referring in the chapter about soldier-heroes back to the previous chapter about rich businessmen heroes and the much poorer women heroines they are paired with, who often have jobs, sometimes clerical jobs, sometimes in family firms threatened by the executive of a larger firm that is about to take over the family firm / dominate the market they compete in whatever.

“On one level, the novel bears a resemblance to the capitalist-working girl model examined in the preceding chapter.”

Yeah, not that kinda working girl.
