I love this — my daughter was at an elementary school with a very strong art orientation. She was not there for the art; she was there for other reasons, but she figured out after a bit that what she really enjoyed doing was dressing her avatars in/for various games.
The idea that adult-people are starting to do this makes perfect sense to me. I, personally, am woefully behind on avatar design, so I will probably be even more of a slob online (slobline?) than I am in real life. But that’s fine! It’s not about me.
