A. and I got up a little earlier, packed up, put our stuff in the van, and then had breakfast. We went back to the room to collect our stuff for the park and brush our teeth and say goodbye. In the event, we saw S. and my niece and nephew in the park several times. We hung out with C. while she built legos in the castle builder area, while S. and H. went on the Dragon coaster. A. and I had already done that, and were hoping the rope drop ride would open; it did not. We did catch the Ninjago ride and got it to work this time. Fun!

We also did the Splash Battle and the spinning cups. Good times! The ride home went relatively quickly, just about exactly 4 hours. We stopped to get gas and go to the bathroom, but we did not get lunch; we ate snacks out of the food box instead. I apparently packed relatively well.

I had A. call home and request grilled cheese and for the Portal TV to be set up for her portal playdate. T., R. and I all went out to dinner at Papa Razzi. When we came back, we did family zoom. I also talked to M. about some of what I had learned talking to S. I was trying to understand what in the family dynamic might be causing BIL to be closeted. I had worked some of it out, by thinking about the timeline of when his first crisis was (how old he was, what the calendar year was, what the general cultural dynamic was, and how his mother would have presented the situation, and how a loyal, young son might have reacted, inadvertently replaying _exactly_ what he was likely swearing Never To Do), but they have a lot of useful insight into current pressures as well. They sound extremely supportive of me telling the family I am non-binary, which is _mostly_ true. The reality is I just think gender is stupid, and wish we would all just stop, however, absent that happening, then not-committing is probably the most authentic second best and I probably should be more supportive of the younger people who seem to have decided that is a good option to develop.

Lots of things to think about.
