I pre-arranged for an 815 for T.; someone showed up to Tiger Tykes so that turned out well!

We went home, and finished loading up the car and headed out. One beer cooler and three food coolers. Yikes! Kids were super awesome about the packing process this time. I watered the plants and put the two from the china cabinet on the dining room table where they get a bit more sun.

R. corrected A.’s grammar for saying “less curves on the road” instead of “fewer curves on the road”. I complained in a way that aligned perfectly with the wikipedia entry on the topic (I am a descriptive grammar person all the way — with spelling, and usage in general, too), but took it further. I want to ban “fewer” and “fewest” on the basis of lack of parallelism.

My sister’s family stayed completely out of my way while we unloaded (thank you so much!) and I made a couple steak sandwiches for B. and C. I had cole slaw, apple crisp and some oranges for dinner. We had stopped at McDonald’s, and I got a couple plain burgers, some fries and a strawberry pie because they were out of apple. I will never go out of my way to get a strawberry pie, however, I would not refuse it if it were the only alternative and I wanted pie.

T. and J. came over and hung out for a bit (socially distanced). R. spent some time over at their porch (socially distanced). T. gave T. (confusing! SIL gave my son) her inhaler, because he forgot his. I called the doc and talked to after hours; they called in scrips for everything to the local independent pharmacist.

AC caught up on the house at night and I froze.

I forgot to pack the two heads of butter lettuce. *sigh* I texted my neighbor and asked her to grab them because they are nice and should not go to waste.
