Sunday: chillin’ at the beach house
Aug. 23rd, 2020 11:00 pmIt is a rental — I have not bought a beach house and do not intend to do so, thus I cannot even say, “I wish.”
I made rotten coffee, because I put too much in, being unfamiliar with machines not having used them for a while. Oh well! Too strong today, so tomorrow will probably be too weak and then hopefully after that someone else will make the coffee.
R. went to Kapler’s to pick up the prescriptions. That turned out well.
T. has been going to Bowker’s. After the first trip, he has checked in and if other people want stuff, he gets B. to drive him and then he goes in and purchases and comes back with the stuff. Seems to be going well.
He went over to T. and J.’s and went to the beach with them and went swimming. T. was helpful and insisted he swim in an area that had a lifeguard. Yay!
R. cooked the chicken thighs. My sister made rice. I cooked some veg. Turned out well — snap peas package, some napa cabbage, some ginger. There was not quite enough, so I heated up some greens and mushrooms for my chicken to supplement the last of the veg. It was super tasty, because that added the vinegar from the greens and some vermouth from the mushrooms.
For lunch I finished off the steak with a bunch of veg and a couple slices of the rosemary bread from essential baking.
I feel like this is going pretty well. I read a book! I will review separately.
I set up payment for the place BIL will be transferring to in a few days (for the facility and the pharmacy).
