Saturday: martial arts, vics, NVUB, walk
Feb. 8th, 2020 03:58 pmI took T. to martial arts and Vics. Routine is great! It has been quiet the last couple weeks at the studio, so it is social hour for me. I love it!
R. took T. to NVUB.
I talked to T. about what kind of laptop he wanted. He asked for apple store gift cards for the holidays to go towards a new laptop, but he also wants the new airpod pros — and that is just about exactly how much he got in gift cards. I told him we would figure it out, and it is now February and he would like to actually do something. I suggested maybe he might like to try a Chromebook like what he has at school, and he got pretty excited about that. I suggested he might like a windows laptop like R. has, and he got excited about that. He did a fair amount of research, and I said I was willing to get him a Chromebook and something else (since they are so cheap). I pointed out to him that there was some value in getting used to the various OSes out there, because he might one day be in an environment where he would be using a different one.
So we ordered a refurbed Chromebook similar to what he has at school, and he has identified a ThinkPad coming out later in the year that he will get when it becomes available. Tomorrow, he will go with someone to the apple store and get the airpod pros. Pretty exciting!
I had a nice walk with M.
