M. came over for a visit. A. was still waking up, so I did not attempt a walk with M.

Later, A. and I went for a walk. We went the whole mile together. Very cool! She talked about the Minecraft videos she likes watching (Unspeakable, Shark, Moose, etc. basically).

After T. came home, A. and I went to Roche Bros because we were super low on a variety of items (and basically actually out of baby carrots). She was very helpful. We returned a cart on the way in (and used another). We walked out carrying so we did not contribute to carts in the parking lot. We got what was on the list and only one additional thing (small package of M&Ms which she agreed to eat half now and half later. I supplemented the snack with raspberries).

I made banana pancakes, because we had a banana and a half sitting around looking very close to Gone By. I mushed up the half, added an egg, some whole wheat and baking powder and orange juice (I am going to try the potassium bicarb instead of the baking powder next time — similarly no sodium and I think there is enough acid in the OJ and banana to react with the bicarb). I fried it up and was astonished that, after years of wishing I could make banana pancakes and remembering a particularly epic failure in my 20s, banana pancakes were stupid easy and very yummy. PB and maple syrup. MMMMMM.

ETA: I had a nice conversation with J. Partway through, my BIL J (the NJ J) called with an update, which I deferred to after my regularly scheduled call.

On the one hand, I cannot say often enough (and I say it a lot) how wonderful it is to work with a family group to help a family member. I mean, everyone is trying and persistent and creative and learning. On the other hand, I am not temperamentally ideal for working in groups of any sort, so this is really a big personal challenge. There are definitely moments where I make it worse by moving way too quickly. Oh well! Live and learn. And appreciate the people who do not hold grudges and who are quick to forgive.

Someone finally came out and just said it in a more or less publishable form.

Delightful! And anyone who has really dug into genealogy has to know this analysis is absolutely correct. Looking forward to the biometric testing next! Hopefully, that will put a stop to the bullshit books about Japanese diet and what not. Nice to see that the rampant, known identity fraud in the Japanese pension system has finally reached the notice of people studying longevity. Too much denial for way too long.
