Connecting Outputs to Inputs

A company took plastic bottles _rejected_ by plastics recyclers and created building panels from them that are very strong, very insulative, and not crazy expense. They have built a prototype house and hope to scale up. The idea is that the very strong (to withstand high winds, such as from hurricanes) house that is energy efficient (saves money, marginally better for the planet) and is built from a major source of pollution could solve many problems at once. Or at least mitigate problems.
Neat idea! It will be interesting to see if they can get this to take off. Other attempts at panelizing single family home construction have never really gained any traction, but this is a different approach being marketed to a generation with a different set of values.
