Saturday: a great deal of nothing at all
Jul. 6th, 2019 11:00 pmT. took himself off to Maynard to see Spider Man Far From Home again.
I took T. to dinner at NYAJ. We had a good conversation about politics. I am trying to help him understand the immigration debate a bit better; right now, we are up against a problem of our own creation (which is the importance of obeying the law). OTOH, figuring out how to navigate conflicts between ones own values and societal values and legal constraints IS the central project that one begins in adolescence and only really completes with the completion of life. There is no real rush here.
We went over the contents of the packing list for sleepaway camp and the contents of his trunk and three drawer organizer thing to make sure that there was a good match.
ETA: I had warned people that there was nothing scheduled for today. But still, when the day arrived, there was discussion. But what about martial arts? Oh, right, dojo closed for holiday weekend. What about yoga? Session ended. Etc.
