Another (mostly) missed park day
Feb. 22nd, 2019 11:00 pmAlas, something went wrong. A. had a wet fart and diarrhea in the early morning. I gave her an Imodium, changed her underwear and put her back to bed. When she woke up, I got her some water, and some of the pedialyte. She had more diarrhea, so I gave her more pedialyte and another Imodium. Fingers crossed. We are not going anywhere for a while, clearly.
I had a bagel with pb&J. We might have a virus, as I wasn’t entirely well, either.
T.’s in the park. R.’s on a bike ride. This is not an unsuccessful trip or an unsuccessful day. I’m actually feeling pretty good about a lot of things. C.’s backpack that H. delivered worked out really well in the park yesterday. Not sure how I’ll be getting it home. I could have A. wear it. We have the luggage slots. I just already will be wearing a backpack. Maybe I will pack it.
After the bike ride, R. returned the bike, since he was not likely to get a ride on departure day, even with our fairly late flight at 5:30 p.m.
A. wanted to do a character breakfast, but the Minions is only on Saturday. Right now, I’m happy we didn’t buy tickets for that or Grinch for today or for tomorrow.
She did eventually say she wanted to eat at Mythos, and then once we were getting ready, she wanted rides. We did the Seuss trolley and Cat in the Hat, ate a little at Mythos. Then we did a few rounds (I did 1) on Forbidden Journey, rode the train, and did Minions. We bought her a pink minions backpack. I put a lot of her souvenirs in it when we got to the room. She can wear it on the plane taking some of the load off the Check In bag.
We rode the boat back, played some games and got to sleep at a somewhat reasonable hour, I think 9:30.
