Orlando Trip Report: Transition Day / Universal

We checked out of Grand Floridian fairly early. I decided the easiest way to deal with all the madness of getting people’s tickets working and so forth and to make sure no one checked into a room with their own credit card and then wanted immediate reimbursement was to just get there first. So we did. It did not solve all the problems, but it did solve some of them. Of course the rooms were not ready, but we got a credit card attached to all of them, pre-empting major issues later. I made sure everyone had the “room key” for Unlimited Express, and then escorted my sister’s family through because I foolishly bought their tickets through the Universal App and they were stuck in my “Wallet” and I needed paper copies because just printing it or screen shotting it was not Good Enough. Oh well!

We had lunch at Mythos with them as well.

We did some rides, altho Gringott’s was not open (this would be a theme).

Dinner was at Mama Della’s at the hotel. There was an opera singer and an accordion player and I got to request O Solo Mio. Woot! So much fun! A. hated it but everyone else got a huge kick out of it. Food was great. Drinks were good.
