I got email that there was a power outage that might be affecting me.

Then later, I got email saying that the power outage was believed to be resolved, but if I thought otherwise, I should tell them.

Much less exciting than the fire alarm on a previous trip this year.

WDW Trip Report: Holllywood Studios, SciFi Dine In Theatre, Splitsville, The Void

We went to Hollywood Studios. MK had had a hard ticket / three ride event before opening when we were there; HS had a hard ticket / three ride event in Toy Story Land before opening this day. We did not have FastPasses for Slinky Dog Dash, so we were all madly rushing to get on that right at open. We succeeded. We rejoined in line, which helped, too. Great ride — Disney is working hard to make the family coaster good for the _whole_ family, not just kids, and while this one isn’t quite as amazing as Seven Dwarfs it is damn close. Super fun ride.

We had lunch at SciFi Dine In Theatre.

We went to Splitsville for DVC Member Night. I’m marginally less bad than last year. I’m still really bad at this bowling thing. T. and R. are pretty good. T. found a bus back to the hotel after, and the rest of us went and did The Void. That was fun! We had a fourth member added to our group since T. did not participate. He was quiet but helpful. A. did great. Altho The Void is really not set up to correctly render a couple of Storm Troopers holding hands the whole time.

A. really wanted to ride in one of the Lyft Minnie Van’s, so we left the rental minivan at the hotel and took the Minnie Van over. We had a really nice driver, Veronica. If you are ever at Disney, look for her! She’s really nice. We took a cab back.
