I had the other half of the salmon salad for lunch. I had a nice walk with M. No NCIS recorded to watch, but I caught up on TRMS. I went to Michael’s to buy A. rainbow ribbon (I called first) and wound up leaving with a lot more ribbon and a box and a few other odds and ends. Michael’s is dangerous. And I’m not even particularly crafty.
A. helped me prepare the sole meunière side dishes: we made the tomato caper relish, then later we prepped the zucchini, and lined up the bowls for the almond meal (it was a gluten free version) and egg. When R. got home, he cooked the fish. It was all very tasty. I had it with a Rob Roy. A. and I also made chocolate cupcakes, and some pink sugar (sugar with a few drops of red food coloring, shaken up) to go on the chocolate cupcakes with chocolate frosting and rainbow sprinkles.
I tracked down the nesting doll measuring cups, but they weren’t clean, so we didn’t use them. I also found the plastic knife and cutting board for a kid to learn how to cut things.
