I had a convo with K. — first in a while. I had to cancel and she did, so I think this is our first chat in the new year.
R. and I dropped the kitchen table chairs off at Lawless, picked out a fabric for the reupholster, and left a deposit for the work. Super excited to finally have this done. The chairs were bought at Nasty Jacks probably in 2005 (spring, maybe) along with a table that we sold when we left Seattle. The chairs had been reupholstered in a way that resulted in tacks pointing up and if you weren’t careful, you could get poked. My sister wound up with a bleeding cut over the holidays, and I finally just said, we need to do this now. The timing was good — it is slower at Lawless now than some other times of year. We have the half dozen wooden folding chairs (with cushions!) that R. got at Costco months maybe a year ago.
We had lunch at Rapscallions. A. came home and I had a bath and took a long nap. I got up for dinner and am about to head down for the night shortly. I am _still_ not completely over this thing. Our play date was canceled due to a mix of problems on the other side. I’m bummed about that — I was looking forward to the play date, even tired — but it was probably just as well.
ETA: Did a bunch of paperwork -- renewing ID, printing out forms for T.'s track, etc., putting travel information into the travel binder. It is surprising how much of this there is.
