Yesterday, I got the ornaments off the tree. Today, R. took the tree out. Then I vacuumed. Then he changed the bag in the vacuum, because that was a lot of needles and it wasn’t exactly empty to begin with.
A. and I continue to cough. She finished up the first two seasons of _Mia and Me_ and we haven’t figured out how to get season three yet (I haven’t given up). She is now binge watching Magic School Bus. Since she is spending a lot of time on the couch coughing, I am getting her up every once in a while and walking with her around the house, just so she doesn’t completely freeze in place.
I tried to figure out a way to get money for the remaining kindle fire in the house. Total failure. But that’s okay. Gazelle is going to give me $35 for the iPod Touch. And Amazon is going to give me a somewhat surprising amount for the original Oasis that I no longer have any desire for now that I have the waterproof Oasis. As I was trying to figure out a way to trade in the Fire, I discovered the Amazon Trade-In store, where I learned they’d even give me a tiny amount of money for the Seagate wireless drive that I bought and then never used because it stopped working/never worked for the use case I bought it for (the idea was to serve videos off it to iOS devices, which does not work. That works for Android. And maybe if you jailbreak and iOS device. But not ours). I even managed to bring all three boxes to the same location for return (UPS store does UPS AND USPS). Decluttering for Amazon gift cards. Could be worse. I had sort of figured I’d be doing a gift return run, but in the end, I have no more of those to do (I got the ones that needed to be done after Presents Day and before Christmas).
There are still holiday decorations up (the mantle swag, the funny wreath), but most of them have been packed up for next year. I’m feeling like I’d like to do more decluttering — what I got done today felt really good — but I doubt I have the energy.
