We checked out of BLT and into Royal Pacific Resort at Universal. We got checked in, learned that bell services DOES have refrigerated space (good to know!) but didn't get our rooms until much later. We bought tickets and went into the parks. We were hungry, tho, since it was 11 by this time, so R. and T. went off to do rides and the rest of us went to Mythos. I had the blackened fish tacos, since I didn't notice immediately that you could get the pad thai V for vegan. Oh well! The tacos were decent, altho I got full sort of quickly.

We did some water rides. We did the Jurassic Park river journey and got somewhat damp. Then A. and I did Bilge Rats and got comprehensively soaked. She wanted to do the people dryer. I didn't. We headed back to the hotel when a couple texts came through about 2 of the 3 rooms. Of course, it wasn't the room A. and I were in (sad face) so we were waiting in the air conditioned lobby for a while freezing to death. We tried to find my mother-in-law but couldn't; she eventually found us in the lobby, and asked a bunch of seemingly simple but actually deeply complicated and confusing questions (don't ask me about room texts thinking that there is only one room involved when there are three. Please! Also, hypothermia. I eventually tracked down her key packet, handed it to her, said HER room text had arrived and she could go there now). Shortly thereafter, my room was available, and someone helpfully called bell services for us. Of course, there was only one bathrobe which I put on A. while waiting for the luggage so we could put dry clothes on. Once the luggage arrived, I stripped, but hadn't yet put on the dry clothes which I still had to find in the luggage when inevitably, bell services knocked on the door with the half six pack of beer we had checked in with our luggage. *sigh* Put wet clothes back on, retrieve beer, restrip, get dressed, huddle and shiver until feeling warm enough to think again.

Probably should do the people dryer next time, when A. wants to.

We all had dinner at Emeril's, including the kids. It was pretty good, altho a little salty. T. asked to go to Jake's on our next trip with a sitter, while R. and I have date night. I'm thinking that sounds pretty good and that we'll have sushi in the Orchid Lounge.

ETA: How did I forget! We did the Poseidon show, and K. was picked to be the person to authorize ... whatever it was that the guide wasn't sure he should do. This was hilarious and a lot of fun.
