T. and I went to Bertucci's for lunch. Their lunch menu is available on weekends, so I got the lunch sized individual pizza (without cheese) and it actually is about the right size. It even comes with a really small (which is perfect) salad. Maybe T. will want to go back!

The horse was pleasant -- really great weather, sunny and cool. I mean, the sun still gives me a headache, but not a bad one, and not miserable and sweaty on top of too much light.

After the horse, we dropped off the leftover pizza from T.'s lunch and then went to the library and playground for a playdate with T.'s new friend from school. He reminds me a lot of J.J. from years ago (they moved, I think to Ohio): fun kid, but mercurial. He has a trait I've seen in various people over the years: happy for a while, then unhappy and projecting current unhappiness back into the past when to all appearances they were happy. It's one of the really bad cognitive distortions, because it can create feelings of powerful despair. I wish I knew how to help.

I got to text-chat with a cousin when I got home. A little bummed I won't get to see him this holiday season but not surprised (the other cousins are still on), and I fully support his decision and think he's got the very best of reasons for that decision.

I walked with M.

I had leftover tuna salad for dinner and finished off the last of the veggie fries. I don't think I'll buy them again, but they were okay. There were a bunch of really ripe bananas, and I already had most of a banana bread loaf in the freezer so I made chocolate banana. Looking forward to having that with blondies, once it freezes. One of these days, I'll remember to break out the ice cream maker, figure out how to use it, and use that for chocolate banana and it will be a lot creamier and easy to deal with maybe. But, you know, it's good just frozen in a bowl.

ETA: Today in online shopping I ordered the kids' winter coats, and I ordered A. some long sleeved shirts. I saw an Amazon Fresh van drive down my street.
