Monday: early release

walkitoutThe kids both arrived home shortly after 1 pm; apparently it was an early release day? A. was disappointed that I had no idea and was not keeping up with things. I, personally, was pleased that she got home entirely on her own.
I worked on the Titanic. I watched a genealogy tech zoom live. We made cioppino (Sunbasket). It involved a vegetable broth involving garlic and onion, so I created a substitute broth using ginger, a daikon and a purple carrot. R. added some ras al hanout to it; it was absolutely fantastic. But I also feel like we can probably safely stop using Sunbasket. We learned a lot from it, and are grateful for its presence in our lives for the last few years, but I think we are ready to move on.

It was a quiet day, and enjoyable.
