T., T., and R. went to ride a boat over to the Statue of Liberty. A. didn’t want to, so J., A., and I stayed home. I took the fish tank apart, and built the artist easel. It is very cute.

We tried to have lunch at the Chit Chat, which I want to call the Addams Family Diner, however, they had a half hour wait and were packed. We instead went to Ariane’s Kitchen and Bar, where we listened to really quite fine live music. A. had a burger, fries, and part of my side of bacon. In addition to the bacon, I had hash browns which were amazing, and two really incredible eggs — the yolks were reddish orange. J.’s huevos rancheros looked phenomenal. We got A. ice cream after. She was in a terrible mood, because lunch was pretty late, but once she had food in her, she was fine.

Dinner was steaks; A. had fries and ate very little of her grilled cheese. I think she was still full from lunch. T., J., and A. watched the closing ceremony of the Olympics (they’d been watching the Olympics earlier in the weekend), so we were there late. I spent a bunch of time looking at MOCs. I finally found an alt build for the police station that looks worth doing, and I think I’m going to do the Mies van der Rohe Villa Tugendhat alt build for the White House. There’s a really pretty modular of the Winter Village Fire Station; not sure if I want to or not. It would require ordering more bricks.

I also found a man who does a lot of microscale Efteling modulars, and has pictures of his own full microscale park. There are also really nice, slightly larger scale Efteling builds such as the entrance to Droomvlucht. Not sure what, if any, of those I will ever do, but it is worth thinking about.

We did Family Zoom.

A. had a playdate with K. that lasted two hours, and involved them using the video call on the cell as background for playing Roblox together. A. felt so much better after that.
