Welcome to the New Year!

walkitoutMy welcome to the New Year included seeing a stain on my kitchen ceiling (over the eat-in part) which is just down from both upstairs bathrooms.
*sigh*
I called and left a message at Papalia’s. They called back some time later to tell me that there were two other calls ahead of me (burst pipes, so I guess we are the lucky ones, because burst pipes sounds worse).
In the meantime, no showers, no baths, and use the downstairs lav. Check. Fortunately, the laundry (also upstairs, other stack, tho) is mostly caught up, so I will limit things involving water to the first floor today.
In good news, the black eyes peas turned out great. I had Hoppin’ John for lunch.
*sigh*
