walkitoutT. had a trail run — it was a nice day and R. took him so that I could get A. fed, read to go, and pack up the food and electronics and so forth.
We headed out a little after noon, and after having eaten lunch. We arrived shortly after 2, and got checked in and somewhat settled in before going to our 3:15 pool reservation. It is delightful having the pool entirely to ourselves and knowing no one else will be coming in, either.
R. went to pick up McD for the kids, and C Salt for us. We have not been in a few years because we had not returned to the Cape for a while. We used to love dining at C Salt, and obviously, take out is not the same. Equally, C Salt’s takeout game is about the best I have ever seen: I called, placed the order, they got all the allergies right, told us when to be there, it was ready and hot. Curbside pickup, food came out with the CC machine. R. drove it back in about 12 minutes or so, and it was a good temperature upon arrival — did not require reheating or anything and super tasty. He had the salmon and the romaine salad; I had the peanut noodle dish. They were all really good. I had had a salad while waiting for him to return, so I only had about 2/3rds of the noodles and chicken (but all of the crispy bean sprouts. Because.). The rest will be lunch tomorrow with some of the veg I brought with me.
I had a phone call with my cousin J., regarding his younger sister. It is a distressing situation and in no way obvious what to do.
We also did family zoom.
I’ve had a headache all day, but I did get a short nap and am going to go to bed early.
