Another Friday the 13th in 2020

The last one was in March — the beginning of shutdown, plus or minus a day.
No shutdown this time, but starting to wish there might be one. I feel like while many people are rearranging T-weekend plans to reflect the reality of 2020, other people ... are not. Which I might find amusing from a distance, but am somewhat perturbed to learn what the sitter’s plans for the weekend involve (more than one family gathering! And one at a house that has already had the neighbors call the cops on gathering violations, suspected or otherwise). If the sitter’s plans actually happen, I think we are taking a week break from the sitter after the holiday weekend and asking for a covid test — I am obviously happy to pay if that is necessary but I doubt it will be. Sort of hoping the plans are canceled, but do not dare ask because I dislike giving people an opportunity to lie to me.
We went out to Northampton to walk around in the rainy woods and talk about house site. That was fun! We also went out to the old quarry (not on our land — in conservation land adjacent). Fancy Friday has a bunch of people show up and it was a ton of fun.
