Sunday: BitGym

walkitoutYesterday evening, R. got out the treadmill oil and oiled the treadmill. If you do not know what that means, that is okay, because I do not know either. Finding the oil was tricky. But he did find it. He also vacuumed out the innards (of the deck maybe? Not sure). He says that is supposed to be done annually. We have had this treadmill 10 years and this is the first time it has happened.
Since the display is wonky, and horrible anyway, but the treadmill is still usable, A. and I are experimenting with finding something that makes the treadmill a better experience. We are starting with the free options of BitGym. She loves it. She did the no-account preview, and liked it, so I set up a free account and she is now doing some Oregon Coast trail. There are a lot of locked trails that you need to subscribe for. We will start with the free ones and see whether this is fun a few times, or fun a lot. If it is fun a lot, I will subscribe. There is a lifetime membership, which is an interesting idea, but requires quite a lot of faith in the continues existence of the company. Which may be justified, given how long they have been around so far.
She was game to try the treadmill in part because she has been playing Hogwarts Mystery, and when she runs out of energy in the game, she has to wait. Waiting is a great time to do bite size exercise.
